First Guard is a family-owned business that began in 2002. The company is fully licensed for low voltage and fire alarm systems, servicing customers throughout New Jersey, New York, part of upstate New York, and part of Pennsylvania.

Commercial low voltage systems range from fire protection to security systems to sound and communication. Residential low voltage systems include doorbells, garage door openers, home security sensors, thermostats, and landscape lighting.

We specialize in multi-family housing, which includes everything from single family to hundreds of apartments, as well as warehouses, schools, office buildings, and many other industries and applications.

The company offers consulting, installation, service, and maintenance for cloud-based video surveillance, access control, and visitor management. None of the work is outsourced.

We also provide fire alarm systems,  intercoms, integrated locking systems, and home automation, which includes TVs, audio, and video. Visit our non-cloud-based division here.

First Guard supports and services commercial and residential customers. We know our customers by name and our customers knows us personally. Once an installation is completed, we stay with our customers to make sure that the system is functioning, and the customer is safe and secure.

Right from the beginning, we work closely with our customers. If they know exactly what they need, then we prepare the proper proposals, order materials, set up the installation and provide maintenance. But if we have a customer with less experience, we offer guidance to meet their goals. Once the system is installed, we make sure that customers are familiar with the system so they can properly use it.

Recently, First Guard began offering cloud-based systems. Electronic security systems are changing quickly and need to be continually updated. Cloud-based systems are cyber secure and offers the flexibility to remotely update the system. It also gives our customers the flexibility to scale the system as needed. Plus, cloud-based systems provide more control, allowing them to view cameras, allow access to visitors – all remotely when not on site.
